One of the lessons we learned when we went to Ireland is “no large luggage.” When you have lots of travelling to do in a country, by bus, it is best to travel light. We find using Hotels.com, very useful. Being a member, allows you one free room, every time you book 10. Their app allows you the luxury of booking hotels while on the move.
Get a good travel card. We use MBNA travel and find that once a year we usually have two free flights.
Nexus cards come in very handy and make travelling so much faster. They are good for 5 years and you just have to go on their site and fill out the form and wait for them to call you with an appointment time. So worth it. Even in Europe.
In Europe very cheap to fly with Easy Jet and Ryan Air. They also have apps that make it very easy to book flights. It really is unfortunate that Canada does not make flights more affordable. Instead of people leaving the country to other destinations, this might encourage people to explore more of Canada.
When we travel through the winter months, we have indoor storage in Oshawa for our truck.
Using Air bnb’s also can make travel more cost effective. There are some really good deals and you have the luxury of having your own apartment or even the main floor of a house at times. We have had some great ones and some not so great. They also have a convenient app.
We often bring those little liquor bottles on the plane instead of paying for a drink. This is not allowed but hey, rules are meant to be broken.
IF YOU HAVE ANY OTHER TRAVEL TIPS PLEASE COMMENT ON HERE AND I WILL ADD TO MY POST
